You would not need any training except for in California. But you could train in Criminal Justice so you will have some training in school.

No hours of training are REQUIRED.

You can take a Masters academy class in Atlanta, there is a private detective class in Atlanta, and there is a security officer class in Atlanta also. You do not need to attend these classes unless you want to carry a weapon or have a firearms license.

If your career is federal (FBI, US Marshal), find the federal academy you must attend and give its requirements for entry and graduation.
8. Name 5 activities of interest to you that someone in this career does on a regular basis.
They are willing to take time out of the weekends and at nights to creep on people’s business to find out information about the case. They also can get some serious cases with crazy people witch must take extreme caution and they also are able to they also work 12 to 15 hours a day on a case. The idea of doing surveillance on a person is interesting to me. And the fact that you are trying to be sneaky for months at a time on a single case is exciting.

I would not like to be standing on my feet for many hours of the day. I would not like the fact that I would have to give up the whole weekend. I would also not like the fact that you would have to stay in a particular place for hours at a time and you would have to follow people around.

You need to be able to be sneaky. You also need to be very careful when it comes to serving people. You need to be able to speak loud and clearly in front of people. You should also know how to type a document very professionally. You should also be able to be able to be a good driver and be able to stay on your feet for a long period of times.
11. Which skill do you believe is the MOST important? Why?
I believe that being sneaky is the most important because if you are not sneaky, then you are technically not being a “private investigator” you are just being an investigator. You have to be sneaky because if you are not you could just blow your cover completely.
12. What type of training/degrees must you obtain to “move up the ladder” in this career (promotions etc.)?
You do not need any training specifically but you would want to take some criminal justice courses so you can get familiar with the law, or you could take a police academy. That would also help.

I am very quiet. This is good if you want to be sneaky. I am short which could make it easy to hide. You would have to work the weekends, the nights, and daytime, and yes, there would be a lot of traveling done.

I think i would like to persue this career. The idea of Private Investigating just interests me. I would really enjoy to work with people on spying on the, and stuff. I would like to follow people around and see how they live on a day to day basis. I wouldnt like the fact that you dont get paid alot of money but you can always work up from there. I would like to be a chef, but i would like to do private investigation in the spare time too. I think i would expect to become more literate while Working this job because you would have to grow a very big vocabulary. I think i would also to expect to get a big salary out of this career. I mean you are trying to find out something about another person by being very sneeky. So i do tyhink you would want to have a big salary.
